STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Guards,

Subject: Dealing in excisable articles by dealers under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910 (Uttar Pradesh Act 4 of 1910), the Revenue Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in excisable articles by dealers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer carrying on dealing in excisable articles shall make an application in Form C to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. The Excise Guard shall ensure that consignment is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
