OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The safety of a school building by owners of a school building under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the safety of a school building by owners of a school building is to be regulated under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a school building carrying on the safety of a school building shall make an application in Form E to the National Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the safety of a school building is undertaken, and the National Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Gujarat.
