OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The execution of canal works by contractors for canal works under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the execution of canal works by contractors for canal works is to be regulated under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for canal works carrying on the execution of canal works shall make an application in Form H to the River Basin Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of canal works is undertaken, and the River Basin Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
