STANDING ORDER

To

All Ground Water Officers,

Subject: The use of water for industry by users of water for industry under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of water for industry by users of water for industry.

2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water for industry carrying on the use of water for industry shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Rajasthan within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Ground Water Officer shall ensure that works is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Rajasthan within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Rajasthan.
