STANDING ORDER

To

All Probation Officers,

Subject: The provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1982), the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every service provider carrying on the provision of services to aggrieved persons shall make an application in Form III to the Child Welfare Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Probation Officer shall ensure that institution is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Child Welfare Committee within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka.
