STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Registrar of Co-operative Societies,

Subject: The raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 1987), the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every nursery grower carrying on the raising of plants in a nursery shall make an application in Form F to the Director of Agriculture within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies shall ensure that market fee receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Agriculture within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
