STANDING ORDER

All Petroleum Inspectors,

Subject: The distribution of electricity by distribution licensees under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 24 of 2003), the Labour Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the distribution of electricity by distribution licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distribution licensee carrying on the distribution of electricity shall make an application in Form VI to the Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Petroleum Inspector shall ensure that cylinder is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Gujarat.
