OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers is to be regulated under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every nursery grower carrying on the raising of plants in a nursery shall make an application in Form G to the Director of Agriculture within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the raising of plants in a nursery is undertaken, and the Director of Agriculture shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Punjab.
