OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on the manner in which the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land is to be regulated under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 2 to the State Government within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of Government land on lease is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
