OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a clinical establishment by persons carrying on a clinical establishment under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the running of a clinical establishment by persons carrying on a clinical establishment is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person carrying on a clinical establishment carrying on the running of a clinical establishment shall make an application in Form 25 to the Appropriate Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a clinical establishment is undertaken, and the Appropriate Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
