OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Dealing in motor vehicles by dealers under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which dealing in motor vehicles by dealers is to be regulated under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer carrying on dealing in motor vehicles shall make an application in Form 23 to the Regional Transport Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in motor vehicles is undertaken, and the Regional Transport Authority shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
