OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The production of agricultural produce by producers under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Agriculture Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the production of agricultural produce by producers is to be regulated under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959.

2. The matter has been examined. Every producer carrying on the production of agricultural produce shall make an application in Form D to the Director of Agriculture within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the production of agricultural produce is undertaken, and the Director of Agriculture shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Karnataka.
