OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a school by schools under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the running of a school by schools is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every school carrying on the running of a school shall make an application in Form VI to the Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a school is undertaken, and the Commission shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
