STANDING ORDER

To

All Pay and Accounts Officers,

Subject: The submission of accounts for audit by auditees under the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 29 of 1999), the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the submission of accounts for audit by auditees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every auditee carrying on the submission of accounts for audit shall make an application in Form GFR 21 to the Accountant General within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Pay and Accounts Officer shall ensure that voucher is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Accountant General within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
