STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Director of Education,

Subject: The running of a hostel by hostels under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 (Gujarat Act 8 of 2009), the Home Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a hostel by hostels.

2. The matter has been examined. Every hostel carrying on the running of a hostel shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Gujarat within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Director of Education shall ensure that course is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Gujarat within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Gujarat.
