STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The allotment of property to a displaced person by displaced persons under the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962 (Karnataka Act 10 of 1962), the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the allotment of property to a displaced person by displaced persons.

2. The matter has been examined. Every displaced person carrying on the allotment of property to a displaced person shall make an application in Form 1 to the Land Acquisition Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that possession certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Acquisition Officer within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka.
