STANDING ORDER

To

All Cantonment Executive Officers,

Subject: The holding of defence land on lease by lessees of defence land under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (Uttar Pradesh Act 7 of 1986), the Revenue Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of defence land on lease by lessees of defence land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of defence land carrying on the holding of defence land on lease shall make an application in Form C to the Station Commander within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Cantonment Executive Officer shall ensure that identity card is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Station Commander within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
