OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Labour Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on the manner in which the cultivation of land as tenant by tenants is to be regulated under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974.
2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 5 to the Settlement Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as tenant is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
