STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of Marriages,

Subject: The administration of an estate by administrators of an estate under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the administration of an estate by administrators of an estate.

2. The matter has been examined. Every administrator of an estate carrying on the administration of an estate shall make an application in Form II to the Registrar General within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Registrar of Marriages shall ensure that certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar General within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
