OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of an open shelter by open shelters under the Goa Children's Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Tourism Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the running of an open shelter by open shelters is to be regulated under the Goa Children's Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every open shelter carrying on the running of an open shelter shall make an application in Form VIII to the Child Welfare Committee within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of an open shelter is undertaken, and the Child Welfare Committee shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Goa.
