OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The working of a distillery by distillers under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Excise Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the working of a distillery by distillers is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distiller carrying on the working of a distillery shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the working of a distillery is undertaken, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
