OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The practice of a rehabilitation profession by rehabilitation professionals under the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutions and of Appointments or Posts) Act, 2018, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the practice of a rehabilitation profession by rehabilitation professionals is to be regulated under the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutions and of Appointments or Posts) Act, 2018.

2. The matter has been examined. Every rehabilitation professional carrying on the practice of a rehabilitation profession shall make an application in Form V to the National Trust within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the practice of a rehabilitation profession is undertaken, and the National Trust shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka.
