OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The management of joint family property by managers of a joint family property under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Education Department, Government of Uttarakhand on the manner in which the management of joint family property by managers of a joint family property is to be regulated under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manager of a joint family property carrying on the management of joint family property shall make an application in Form VIII to the Government of Uttarakhand within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of joint family property is undertaken, and the Government of Uttarakhand shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
