OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Environment Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse is to be regulated under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a warehouse carrying on the storage of agricultural produce shall make an application in Form H to the Director of Agriculture within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the storage of agricultural produce is undertaken, and the Director of Agriculture shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Punjab.
