OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The employment of adolescents by employers of adolescents under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the employment of adolescents by employers of adolescents is to be regulated under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982.
2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of adolescents carrying on the employment of adolescents shall make an application in Form IV to the State Commission for Women within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the employment of adolescents is undertaken, and the State Commission for Women shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Karnataka.
