STANDING ORDER

All Branch Managers,

Subject: The collection of contributions as an agent by agents for collection of contributions under the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969 (Maharashtra Act 30 of 1969), the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the collection of contributions as an agent by agents for collection of contributions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every agent for collection of contributions carrying on the collection of contributions as an agent shall make an application in Form 9 to the Commissioner within forty-two days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Branch Manager shall ensure that wage record is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner within forty-two days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra.
