OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The import of inputs under an advance authorisation by holders of an advance authorisation under the Karnataka Industries (Facilitation) Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the import of inputs under an advance authorisation by holders of an advance authorisation is to be regulated under the Karnataka Industries (Facilitation) Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of an advance authorisation carrying on the import of inputs under an advance authorisation shall make an application in Form ANF-1 to the Export Inspection Council within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the import of inputs under an advance authorisation is undertaken, and the Export Inspection Council shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
