OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The disbursement of scholarships by scholarship disbursing institutions under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the disbursement of scholarships by scholarship disbursing institutions is to be regulated under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018.
2. The matter has been examined. Every scholarship disbursing institution carrying on the disbursement of scholarships shall make an application in Form VI to the Government of Maharashtra within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the disbursement of scholarships is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
