OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form H to the Appellate Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of Government land on lease is undertaken, and the Appellate Tribunal shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
