OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sinking of a tube well by owners of a tube well under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the sinking of a tube well by owners of a tube well is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a tube well carrying on the sinking of a tube well shall make an application in Form C to the Canal Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sinking of a tube well is undertaken, and the Canal Officer shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Rajasthan.
