OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sponsoring of a competition by sponsors of a competition under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the sponsoring of a competition by sponsors of a competition is to be regulated under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sponsor of a competition carrying on the sponsoring of a competition shall make an application in Form B to the Disciplinary Panel within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sponsoring of a competition is undertaken, and the Disciplinary Panel shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Goa.
