STANDING ORDER

To

All Child Welfare Officers,

Subject: The running of a child care institution by child care institutions under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988 (Andhra Pradesh Act 10 of 1988), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a child care institution by child care institutions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every child care institution carrying on the running of a child care institution shall make an application in Form I to the Commission within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Child Welfare Officer shall ensure that order is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commission within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
