OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The letting of premises for marriages by licensed marriage halls under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Water Resources Department, Government of Uttarakhand on the manner in which the letting of premises for marriages by licensed marriage halls is to be regulated under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed marriage hall carrying on the letting of premises for marriages shall make an application in Form V to the Maintenance Tribunal within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the letting of premises for marriages is undertaken, and the Maintenance Tribunal shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
