OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The working of a distillery by distillers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the working of a distillery by distillers is to be regulated under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distiller carrying on the working of a distillery shall make an application in Form C to the Licensing Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the working of a distillery is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
