STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of Marriages,

Subject: The functions of a kazi by kazis under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the functions of a kazi by kazis.

2. The matter has been examined. Every kazi carrying on the functions of a kazi shall make an application in Form IV to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Registrar of Marriages shall ensure that adoption order is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
