OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers is to be regulated under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sharecropper carrying on the cultivation of land as a sharecropper shall make an application in Form 8 to the Collector within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as a sharecropper is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
