STANDING ORDER

To

All Naib Tahsildars,

Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953 (Punjab Act 10 of 1953), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of land by occupants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Punjab.
