STANDING ORDER

All Secretaries of the Gram Panchayat,

Subject: Fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Urban Development Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall make an application in Form 8 to the Block Development Officer within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Secretary of the Gram Panchayat shall ensure that work order is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Block Development Officer within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Rajasthan.
