STANDING ORDER

To

All Procurement Officers,

Subject: The provision of consultancy services to the Government by empanelled consultants under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999 (Gujarat Act 11 of 1999), the Law Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of consultancy services to the Government by empanelled consultants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every empanelled consultant carrying on the provision of consultancy services to the Government shall make an application in Form GFR 21 to the Comptroller and Auditor-General within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Procurement Officer shall ensure that bond is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Comptroller and Auditor-General within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Gujarat.
