STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputy Tahsildars,
Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Odisha Act 16 of 1960), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 5 to the Board of Revenue within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within ninety days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Odisha.
