STANDING ORDER

To

All Municipal Engineers,

Subject: Street vending by street vendors under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to street vending by street vendors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every street vendor carrying on street vending shall make an application in Form C to the Town Vending Committee within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Municipal Engineer shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Gujarat.
