STANDING ORDER

To

All Extension Officers,

Subject: The execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 5 to the Director of Panchayats within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Extension Officer shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Panchayats within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Rajasthan.
