STANDING ORDER

To

All Ground Water Officers,

Subject: The operation of a lift irrigation scheme by owners of a lift irrigation scheme under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a lift irrigation scheme by owners of a lift irrigation scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a lift irrigation scheme carrying on the operation of a lift irrigation scheme shall make an application in Form F to the Dam Safety Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Ground Water Officer shall ensure that reservoir is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Dam Safety Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan.
