STANDING ORDER

All Municipal Engineers,

Subject: The carrying on of a dangerous or offensive trade by owners of a dangerous or offensive trade under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the carrying on of a dangerous or offensive trade by owners of a dangerous or offensive trade.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a dangerous or offensive trade carrying on the carrying on of a dangerous or offensive trade shall make an application in Form B to the Director of Municipal Administration within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Municipal Engineer shall ensure that vending certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Municipal Administration within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
