STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land under the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950 (Bihar Act 30 of 1950), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every grazier on Government waste land carrying on the grazing of cattle on Government waste land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Board of Revenue within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Bihar.
