STANDING ORDER

To

All Recruiting Officers,

Subject: The provision of security services in a cantonment by operators of a private security service in a cantonment under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2002), the Home Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of security services in a cantonment by operators of a private security service in a cantonment.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a private security service in a cantonment carrying on the provision of security services in a cantonment shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Karnataka within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Recruiting Officer shall ensure that stores is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Karnataka within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
