STANDING ORDER

To

All Compliance Officers,

Subject: The sponsoring of a competition by sponsors of a competition under the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974 (Telangana Act 2 of 1974), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sponsoring of a competition by sponsors of a competition.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sponsor of a competition carrying on the sponsoring of a competition shall make an application in Form E to the State Sports Council within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Compliance Officer shall ensure that calendar of events is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Sports Council within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Telangana.
