STANDING ORDER

To

All Circle Officers,

Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956 (Rajasthan Act 15 of 1956), the Home Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 8 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that register of holdings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Rajasthan.
