STANDING ORDER

To

All Foreign Trade Development Officers,

Subject: The development of infrastructure in a Special Economic Zone by co-developers under the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005 (Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2005), the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the development of infrastructure in a Special Economic Zone by co-developers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-developer carrying on the development of infrastructure in a Special Economic Zone shall make an application in Form ANF-5A to the Development Commissioner within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Foreign Trade Development Officer shall ensure that importer-exporter code is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Development Commissioner within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
