STANDING ORDER
To
All Patwaris,
Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Law Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of an inam by inamdars.
2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 12 to the Board of Revenue within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Patwari shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Goa.
